What is FAMIS Select?

FAMIS Select helps families pay for employer-sponsored health insurance. The FAMIS Select program allows families to choose between covering their children through an employer-sponsored health plan or through FAMIS.

What are the benefits of FAMIS Select?

FAMIS Select may allow your child to see a special health care provider. Employer plans may have different doctors. Enrolling in the employer plan through FAMIS Select may allow your child to see a doctor or dentist who does not take FAMIS.
Families enrolled in FAMIS Select get up to $100 each month for each enrolled child to help pay the family health insurance premium (monthly cost). The total monthly payment cannot be more than the total amount of the family premium.

Who qualifies for FAMIS Select?

Once your child is approved for FAMIS, you should complete the FAMIS Select online application. You must include proof of insurance payment with the application.
